Gibson City Fire responded to a semi fire on Route 54 near 600 E. Sunday afternoon around 4pm. No word if there were any injuries.
(Rantoul--jc) -- Illinois state police are investigating a single rollover accident along U-S Route 136 near Rantoul over the weekend. Police say 40 year old Angelo Jusino of Hammond Indiana lost control of his minivan on Saturday afternoon, as the vehicle rolled several times and ended on its roof approximately 50 feet in a nearby field. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and taken to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries Jusino was issued citations for improper lane usage, no seat belt, driving with license revoked and driving under the influence of alcohol.
(Farmer City-rb)The Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Farmer City is having a Valentine’s Day/Ash Wednesday Fish Dinner Wednesday from 5-7pm. Cost is $8 for adults and Children 10 and under are free. Carry outs will be available.
(Champaign-rb) The News Gazette reports that Former Illini football player Stu Levenick is making a huge donation to the program. The 1975 team captain is donating $5 million as the lead gift for the football team's performance center.Work has started on the building, which will be adjacent to the Irwin Indoor Practice Facility.The performance center includes a new weight room, coaches offices, meeting rooms, locker rooms, two-lane bowling alley and a barbershop. .And it will be the home of Levenick Auditorium, named in honor of Stu and his wife, Nancy.

(Champaign--jc) -- A gas leak was reported over the weekend at a Champaign business. Ameren crews were called to the Big Lots store area on Springfield on Saturday. Champaign firefighters were also called in for safety. Ameren crews fixed the leak late on Saturday.
(Orland Park-jc) -- State police are set to honor one of their own in a funeral procession today in Orland Park. A funeral for Lieutenant Richard Kozik is set for 10 this morning at Saint Francis of Assisi Church. Kozik suffered a medical emergency last Tuesday while on duty. The funeral procession starts around noon today.
(Gibson City--jc) One local library is hosting a card making class this week A stamp-it up card making class will be held at the Moyer Library in Gibson City on Tuesday. Two two-hour sessions will be held. One at 1pm and the other at 6pm. Cost of the class is 10 dollars. More information is found by contacting the Moyer Library in Gibson City.
